Direction

From Nezu Station (C14) , approximately 400m
Take Exit 1 to reach ground level
Turn left and walk straight to Sendagi along Shinobazu Street for 300m
At the 2nd traffic signal, turn left into the lane between photo-shop and police box
Walk 1 block and turn right
Walk 1 block and turn left, then you’ll find us --- a pale blue architecture on your left

About Nezu Church

At first glance, you can find Nezu Church so different from other churches in Tokyo. This unique Gothic architecture located in the preserved residential district of Edo period has been being kept well since established in 1919. It’s nothing but a miracle that this whole-timbered building survived the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923 and the firebombs of World War II, which burned the surrounding area to ash in 1945. Now, often introduced in media as one of historical architectures and as a registered tangible cultural property, Nezu Church attracts not only Christians but also visitors with such a warm, modest and restrained atmosphere. It’s deeply loved by locals and rooted in their lives as well.

We are afraid that we do not offer English worships, but please feel free to have some time for your own prayer time at church, and join us for sharing homelike atmosphere after services. There are a few English speakers among guests and members, including Rev. Kenichi Nabetani. Before making the decision of his devotion, he worked for one of gigantic trading companies in Japan and spent more than 10 years at foreign countries such as Saudi Arab, India, and Indonesia as a representative officer with his family. You’ll enjoy his colourful stories when drink together :)
